Sunday - Family Worship and Junior Church
This service, which lasts for about one hour provides an opportunity for people of all ages to come together to worship God. We strive to offer a blend of contemporary songs and traditional hymns, informality and formality, spontaneity and structure. After the first 20 minutes or so of the service the children go to their own groups in Junior Church. A creche for younger children is held in the Coffee Lounge every Sunday morning.
The Lord's Supper is included in the worship on the third Sunday morning of each month. All Christian believers are invited to receive Communion, whether or not they are church members.
Refreshments are served in the hall after the service, providing an opportunity to meet and chat with other members of the congregation.
Sunday - Evening Service
The evening service, which also lasts for approximately one hour, offers more opportunity for reflection and meditation than the morning's 'busy' service. The Lord's Supper is included in the service on the first Sunday evening of each month. All Christian believers are invited to receive Communion, whether or not they are church members.

Alpha Courses are an opportunity to explore the meaning of life and are held regularly at NNR. For more information on Alpha at New North Road, click here.Regular Prayer Days or half-days are held for special needs. Often these are related to key times in the Alpha programme, when prayers specifically for this outreach are offered.
Saturday Away Days are occasionally held, for prayer and meditation.
Home Groups - each home group follows its own pattern of Bible studies, with discussion and prayer as an integral part. There are 6 or 7 of these groups, on various days of the week and various times of day.
Some are held at church, and others in different parts of Huddersfield. This network is always expanding. Please feel free to contact us for further details.
Chenobyl Charity (Children of Belarus) - A small committee of church members, supported by the church, has been formed to raise money to send children whose health is still affected by the Chernobyl disaster, for a 2 week holiday run by Christians in an area not contaminated by radiation. During the holiday they will receive medical check-ups, enjoy many activities, be taken on trips and also receive some Christian teaching.
Several major fund raising events take place each year. Also provided are boxes of Christmas presents and clothing for the elderly as well as the children.
New North Road is also developing links with a Baptist Church in Minsk, the capital city of Belarus. It is hoped that it may prove possible to organise exchange visits from time to time.
